One Kit - Three Ways

I've been a huge fan of digital scrapbooking since probably the beginning of digital scrapbooking! There are so many reasons why I fangirl over digital kits - here are just a few of them:

  • I never run out of supplies
  • Digi kits have so many goodies in them
  • I don't have to leave my house to buy them, and I receive them instantly
  • and I can paper scrap with my digi supplies!!
Since I never run out of a digi kit, I can scrap tons of layouts in bunches of different ways! Fangirl squeal!

I thought I'd share how I used one digi kit to scrap three different pages - one digital page, one pocket page, and one traditional paper page.

The kit is Brighter Days by Paper Garden Projects - I received it as part of my monthly Digi Files kit club from TheDailyDigi.com (which is an amazing deal worth fangirling over!)

Layout #1 - In the Sunshine - Digital - 12x12

I created this layout in Photoshop - completely digital.

Layout #2 - Life it Sweet- Pocket Page - "Phonebooked" - 6x8

I created this pocket page layout completely on my iPhone. The kit came with some journaling cards which I uploaded to Dropbox and brought into a layout in the Project Life app. I also used the LetterGlow app to create a custom card with some embellishments and journaling.

Layout #3 - Hello Easter - Hybrid/Paper Scrapbooking - 12 x 12

For this layout I dragged a bunch of embellishments from the kit into Silhouette Studio and did a print and cut. Here's what the print and cut page looked like:

I also printed papers from the kit - one 12 x 12 paper for my background, and then smaller pieces of the other papers for layering. I have a wide format printer (an Epson Stylus Photo 2200) so I can print a bunch of papers on one 13 x 19 sheet of matte photo paper. Here's what that print file looked like:

I also printed my photos at home - I had some Instax sized frames from other digital kits by Allison Pennington to give me this cute look!

Then I trimmed out the papers and started building my page just like a paper scrapped page - sticking them down and using pop dots in places for added dimension. I created a printed journaling card as well, but also handwrote some journaling too. I did add a couple of embellishments from my regular stash too - the heart and the scalloped border are from the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine collection. Here's the finished page:

...and some close ups

I'm super excited that I was able to get so much value from one digital kit! Have you stretched your digi-supplies before? I'd love it if you'd share your layouts in the comments!

Thanks for reading and Happy Scrapping!
